When TikTok suspended service on the night of Saturday, January 18, many business owners who rely on the platform for marketing and sales found themselves without the followers and connections they’d worked to build on the app. Many were left wondering how to move forward and what a loss of TikTok might mean for their businesses. We spoke with social media expert Crystal Vilkaitis, founder of Rooted in Retail (formerly Crystal Media), about her thoughts on how retailers can continue using TikTok and plan for a future where it may no longer be available.
